The journey so far - 9 - Destination disappointed! but not the journey!

If somebody asked me why I always insist harshly on not littering around then this place is the right reason I can give. This near extinct, once upon a time waterfall, Muthyaala Maduvu or famously knows as Pearl Valley is a small waterfall or better called as a creek because now this falls does not have water during most of the year and has very minimal water even during core monsoon. It has given up the fight against those intruding miscreants & their trash and almost ready to bid adieu soon!
Destination:  Muthyaala Maduvu, Anekal.
Distance from Bangalore: Approx. 40 kms from Diary cross flyover.
Route:  Travel to Bannerghatta and then towards Anekal via Jigani Industrial area, all on a single stretch. At Anekal ask for direction which leads to Muthyaala Maduvu and take right at a petrol bunk about 5kms away.
To Do: The falls is going to disappoint you probably anytime. The falls is just a small creek and as usual a temple nearby. Village panchayath collects nominal fees for entry & parking but the falls is in its utmost horrible condition. Bottles, plastics, paper, trash and all rubbish are definitely more in volume than water flowing there! I better not talk much about it! It hurts!
But the road that leads from Jigani to Pearl valley is really worth a ride! With scenic flowering trees, rural lifestyle, cattle grazing, lakes & ponds, some erstwhile structures all help overcome the grief of seeing that soon to be extinct falls. There is a huge lake en route with lots of water bound birds and two hefty pillars of an old bridge, probably! There is also vast grassland just ahead of the bunk that you get after Anekal, where you can hardly resist playing.
Stay: Roadside tree shades!
Food: Some tasty food is available at Bannerghatta on the entrance of the road that leads to Kaggalipura. Check the small hotel beside the bakery you see.
Highlights of the place:  Green ride, if you can call it so! A rejuvenating ride for sure.
Best time to visit: A winter early morning would be amazing.
Places nearby:  Bannerghatta National Park and TK Falls are at close proximity.
Things to remember:  Remember the condition of this ‘once upon a time falls’ when you visit other places. You would not want a scenic tourist spot to undergo the same torture that is being done to Muthyaala Maduvu!
